It all depends on how we look at it, doesn’t it? If we believe that what appears to be lost is actually lost, we will probably never find it again. If we start with the premise that what is Real, meaning true substance, is never lost, then we will find it again. Because it could never have been lost in Truth, it must reappear as it was, or in a different form. Nothing is lost. Ever.
