The only activity, presence, and power, is the divine Light, called God. When I start to forget how this is True, I watch one of those PBS Nature shows. Anyone of them will work. But, if I really need a boost I watch one about the expanding universe. How huge it is. How uncharted. And then I remember that same universe lives within us when we turn the microscope on instead of the telescope. That’s usually enough for me. If not, watching the sunrise, the light rising, will seal the deal!
Every Spiritual Idea is always complete, unlimited, harmonious, wholly good, and available. Every Spiritual Idea is complete. This is a rock of certainty to cling to when it appears nothing is working, or no one cares – enough – about what you are doing. If we are following a spiritual idea, or angel idea, and we keep on listening to guidance, the outcome is assured. In fact, it has already been completed. We’ll enjoy the process more if we just enjoy the process more.
There is no passage of time, there is only one day, present now, it is the day that Love made, beautiful, harmonious, and abundant. We all know that time is weird. It goes faster or slower depending on how much fun we are having, or if we are traveling the speed of light. So it’s kinda silly that we try to measure something so elusive and then give it power. Power to the past and power to the future to disrupt the now, which is really all we have. Now. Let’s give power to the now. That would be different.
Anything not seen as a Spiritual Idea, is a misconception, a human concept, a belief, and therefore, nothing. Human beliefs are nothing? This is a good thing to remember when we feel besieged by any human belief that hampers us. Even a good belief. Because, eventually we will see the other side of them. You know: Youth – age, Health – sickness. Rich – poor. All human beliefs. When we get them back to their true source, spiritual substance, there is nothing but the good. Who wouldn’t be happy about that!
A Spiritual idea is the interpretation of something from the standpoint of divine Principle. Spiritual idea, as opposed to a material idea. They may look the same on the surface, but the idea that stems from a divine Principle is the one that will grow. It’s the seed growing in fertile soil and watered perfectly. It’s the tree that bears fruit. It’s the life that has a purpose that impacts the world for good. It’s the spiritual idea that we want to understand.
Divine Love recognizes Its unified, unique individual expressions as One, but does not know divided human personalities. It’s not that hard to understand being unified, but do we understand the idea of unique? We all belong to a community or two, or maybe even a family where we are unified, but uniquely ourselves. The part we might have trouble understanding is that it is not our human personality that makes us unique, but our unique spiritual expression of the one Creator.
Removing the material disguise from people, places, and things reveals the one infinite idea – spiritual, indivisible, and harmonious. This is what we are doing isn’t it? We are removing the material disguise from all that we see, including ourselves. We aren’t trying to create, or make, or fix. As artists of life, we are removing what isn’t true, isn’t needed, and isn’t wanted. As we do this, everything stands revealed as the idea of the Divine. Oh that sounds glorious.
The thoughts of God are spiritual and eternal, the substance of being, and mistakenly we call them “people, places, and things.” One of my favorite quotes of all times is from John Hargreaves. “Everything present is present as God only.” It’s up to us to see that what appears as a material person, place, or thing, is really God’s presence, or thought. We are the thoughts of God. Everything we see is a thought of God. Someday we will fully understand what this means.
Neither a believer or a belief is present within the consciousness of the one divine Mind, which is God. As humans, we have buckets full of beliefs. Some work for us, some don’t. Every day we practice letting go of beliefs that no longer serve us, and enlarging our understanding of what is True. These are new beliefs. As our understanding grows, beliefs expand and dissolve depending on the situation. So it may be hard to realize that within the divine Mind, there are no beliefs. But, of course, that has to be True doesn’t it?
As we trust less in the perception of the material senses, the light of the Divine is revealed as the light of our being. Trust. We have to trust what our senses tell us in order to live in our human life. Without them, we would walk in front of cars, put our hands on hot stoves, or miss the sound of loved one’s voices, or not taste our food. However, we need to remember that they don’t tell us anything other than what is needed for daily life. To find what else there is, like the spiritual facts, we have to trust a different sense, the one within.
Waking up from the belief of a dreamer dreaming a dream, we discover that problems in the dream, are not present in Reality.Wake up! Be mindful! Become aware! Stay in the now! We have all heard these statements and have done our best to follow their advice, sometimes better than others. Here’s the cool part about Reality. We are already awake, mindful, and in the now. That’s what our true being is doing. All we are trying to do is let go of what thinks it is asleep and dreaming to experience what is really going on. Easier that way isn’t it?
Waking up from the illusion of Mind in matter, we discover that all the effects of the illusion are also gone. Yes, the illusion of Mind in matter. Mind, as the one intelligent, infinite, loving creator we often call God, is not in matter. Why? Because since Mind is spiritual, or unmeasurable, then it could not be contained in matter, which is measurable. And since Mind is omnipresent, the bottom line is – there is no matter. Everything is spiritual. Knowing that, beliefs attached to the belief of matter begin to fade away.
Remaining in the consciousness of the Principle of the divine Love, nullifies the suggestion of any other power. Okay, I could have used a different word than nullifies. How about the word invalidates. Or makes it null and void. Or futile! Each of these words helps us understand that there is no other power than divine Love. We have all experienced at least one moment when the awareness of Love erased any other feelings but Love. That was the moment when nullification made sense.
Perfection expressed, not personality, is the Truth of our being. Too often we get caught up in the idea of personality. It wins elections, gets the top job, gets ahead in business. We need to remember it isn’t who we, or they, really are. We are each the expression of the Divine. The more we let go of our personality, the more our individuality, united with the One, shines through. That lasts. Personality doesn’t.
All good is the unconfined, underived, universal, always present, good of God. It’s not God that confines good. We are the ones that keep it confined. God’s good is not only unconfined, it is always present. That means we could be expressing and experiencing good in every moment. So next time you feel good bubbling up inside, don’t hold it in, don’t hide it, don’t suppress it, just let it go!
Demonstration isn’t the appearance of a human concept, just the disappearing of that which hides the spiritual fact. We throw the word demonstration around without being careful of what we want it to mean. Are we really trying to make material things happen or get better? Are we supposed to be proud when we make that stuff happen? Instead, the demonstration we must yearn for is the revealing of what is already true, as we let go of how we think it is supposed to be.
All mediums between God and man will disappear in proportion as the immediate Oneness of Mind and Its idea is accepted and lived. What do we mean by mediums? Everything really. Jobs, money, healers, preachers, banks, friends … anything or any person that we have assigned the “job” of negotiating our relationship with God for us. It’s the middleman that we don’t need. We are direct from the distributor so to speak. We are the action and the direct receiver. As we understand this, what we once saw as a medium becomes an expression of supply.
As much as we yearn for a material thing, we find a mirage. Yearn instead for understanding and find the substance of Spirit. The word yearn stresses the depth and passion of a desire. It’s more than a want or need. To yearn is a powerful driving force. When we apply it towards understanding our true spiritual nature, and the nature of the Divine, everything we do takes on a new meaning. It becomes our why, and it supplies the how. Yearn towards that, let the rest go.
A miracle is the natural, ongoing, perfect expression of divine law, seen imperfectly through the lens of human belief. If what we call miracles happened all the time we wouldn’t call them a miracle. They would be natural, like all the beautiful things that continually happen every day. But, that is exactly what a miracle is, the natural order of things. Who wants a capricious a god that will break his own rules for some, but not for others just so we can have a miracle. Not me.
Within the consciousness of Beauty lies the awareness of the Truth of our being. We all have heard that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Does that change the Truth of it? When we learn to see beauty in all that we look at and we desire to live in it, with it, and as beauty, we experience a basic essence of the Divine. I have a friend who will agree with me that there is a God because there is beauty. That’s a great place to start!
Infinite progression is the law of I Am, and the nature of our being. If you have ever hit a plateau, and nothing seems to change, it may feel as if there is no progression in your life. However, in an ever expanding universe, there can’t be one part that is frozen while the rest goes on. Sometimes, it is simply a matter of not noticing where the progression is happening. Other times it is a pause before the growth spurt. Think winter, remember spring.
Seeking God first, which is the only cause; we always find the effect, that which we appear to need, as good, abundant, and now. Haven’t we all been taught to seek God first, and all that we need will be given to us. Doing this is an art. It takes discipline and desire that goes beyond just wanting to be a good person. It is the desire to live as the action of the divine, and to do so with awareness and understanding. Not to get something, but to be living within the grace of God.
“In the beginning was the Word” was divine Mind’s declaration and Its demonstration. In the beginning. Is the beginning the big bang? Or was there something before that? Is there something that holds everything together in perfect order? We have to go past the bang and into the unknown. It will only remain unknown when we try to explain it from a material viewpoint. It is only known when we go within and listen to the word.
When we perceive as divine Mind perceives, we discern that what we falsely believed we don’t have, is already present. Wait, what? We don’t have to struggle and try to figure things out? We don’t have to manipulate people, fight the system, or worry about making ends meet? Not if what we need is already present. We do need to practice pausing to ask ourselves what does divine Mind perceive about this? And then act that way towards ourselves and others.
To fully understand that the true substance of everything is divine Mind, reveals its practical abundant presence in daily life. Practical application. That’s not always what spiritual teaching has been about. Often it is about what will happen when we leave this world, and then we will experience all the good that the divine has in store for us. I don’t think that’s true. I think when we understand that the Divine is always present, that understanding reveals all that is needed now, not later.
When we are conscious of an Angel idea, it is the presence of God. We all have had an Angel Idea! At least one. Probably thousands. Some of them we have heard and followed, and others we have ignored. What about the ones that exist but we have been deaf and blind to their presence. An Angel Idea inspires us to do more, share more, give more, love more. They impel us to take action, with the promise that the outcome is assured. Listen, an Angel Idea waits to be heard.
All-One is the consciousness of everything as a spiritual idea of divine Mind, already present and found within. Let’s turn this around and say that a spiritual idea of everything is divine Mind being conscious of Its existence as just One. It’s not a split personality. It’s not good and evil. It’s not confused. Divine Mind is Itself, One, with an infinite variety of ideas contained within itself, always present. When we go within to listen, this makes perfect sense.
All thoughts proceeding from divine Love, unify. I love an easy way to see things, and an easy way to make decisions. This simple statement qualifies. We could look at what we plan to do, what action we want to take, and ask ourselves if what we do will unify, or separate. Some people actually believe themselves more powerful when they are better than others. Someday they will find that only together are we powerful.
The spiritual idea of anything and everything is its only Reality. It is sometimes hard to imagine that what we are is actually a spiritual idea. Not material, spiritual. That means our reality is not plodding along in a world that works from the concept of lack, but a Reality that shines with the power of Love in action. Just pause for a moment and claim your true identity, and let it guide the next action you take.
Every element of nature is a portal into the infinite substance and intelligent Mind of the universe. Even if we live in the city, nature is all around us. The sky, the clouds, grass through the sidewalk, a drop of water. Each of these is a gateway into the infinite substance of the universe. Sometimes a casual glance will light the understanding within, other times we need to pause to see. The great news? That portal is always open for those with an open heart.
Because divine Love is omnipotent, the illusion of evil is only dissolved by holding steadfastly to what is good and true. If we are going to hold on to what is good and true, we need to increase our awareness of them. We need to let go of ingrained beliefs and see how good and true is revealed in infinite ways in our universe. Let’s study and practice these qualities. Then our understanding of what is good and true would expand, leaving no room for anything else.
